One of the most luxurious beachfront hotels near Split, Le Meridien, offers a resort-style experience with a private marina, multiple restaurants, a spa, and a long stretch of beach. It’s ideal if you want five-star comforts and a space to unwind!
At Le Meridien, you can relax in the spa or enjoy your free time at the beach on a luxury beach cabana and for the active, there are tennis courts, paddleboard and a stylish marina full of yachts, they’ve really thought of every need here!
I’ve visited for drinks on the terrace and spent time in the beach club, and it’s easily one of my favourite spots outside the city to chill out, I especially like the chic beachfront setting; it’s hands down the best in the area and definitely gives you the holiday feeling!
And the style extends to the rooms, I haven’t stayed but would book Le Meridien for a luxury hotel in Split on the beach experience in a heartbeat, the calming coastal decor is right up my street, and there’s floor to ceiling windows so you always know you’re by the sea!

Radisson Blu is one of the original Split beachfront hotels, a contemporary resort offering panoramic Adriatic views, a large outdoor pool, and a full-service spa, it gives you ample opportunity to relax and unwind!
Most rooms at the Radisson offer balconies with stunning sea views, even if the decor is a little wild at times and in the top-tier rooms, you have sumptuous terraces that will be hard to pull yourself away from, but I do recommend trying out the spas and Finnish saunas!
While I’m not usually a fan of contemporary chain hotels, what I love about this beach hotel is the is the Mistral Beach Club, which has lots of personality, I’ve visited this beach in Split during summer a few times, it’s the closest to the old town and perfect for a slice of luxury by the sea!

A designer boutique hotel just steps from Bačvice Beach, Briig offers guests spacious contemporary interiors with a rooftop pool and restaurant terrace right on the seafront. It’s a good option if you want to be by the sea and within walking distance to the old town!
Briig is situated in a quieter residential area, and when I went to check it out, the lobby and restaurant terrace felt lovely and relaxing, not busy at all, plus you are only a few minutes’ walk to some of the most popular city beaches!
But what struck me is the style, which is unlike anything else in Split, Briig Boutique Hotel really stands out, I’m still unsure if this is a good thing, and unfortunately, the quirky design means there are no balconies attached to these well-designed minimalist rooms; you’ll have to pop up to the hotel’s rooftop pool!

The best time to visit Split for a beach break is from late May until late September, which guarantees warm and sunny weather, so you can use the pools and terraces and swim in the sea! For the best experience, I would avoid July and August if you plan on staying in one of the beachfront resorts – it will be busy!
