The laid-back atmosphere, cool music, fantastic service and cosy lighting, makes Wild the perfect choice for a romantic dinner in Tulum. It wins hands down for presentation and excellent cocktails, reservations are a must!
ARCA
Another fantastic choice for a romantic and intimate dinner, located in a cosy jungle setting and like most places in Tulum the food is fresh with locally sourced ingredients.
Arca has a lovely outdoor terrace, cool bar and a romantic atmosphere, the setting is very dark and it just adds to the romance! Acra specialises in seafood, I highly recommend sharing 2-3 plates between two as the portions are quite small!

If you’re looking for romantic sunset drinks, Mezzanine is perfect! It’s situated on the seafront of the North Beach, the atmosphere on the terrace and the cocktail list is the best!

If you’re looking for something a bit different, Mia Beach Club hosts mystical evenings, where you can relax on a cabana with the sea breeze!

Distrito Panamera is the place for a chilled evening of sipping cocktails on a rooftop terrace. Sometimes there’s live jazz music to groove to.

GETTING TO & GETTING AROUND TULUM
HOW TO GET TO TULUM
As Tulum Mexico is located on the Yucatan Peninsula, which is two hours away from Cancun International Airport. I recommend for convenience to pre-book a Welcome Pickup Airport Transfer. Also, try to arrive in the daylight as Tulum is difficult to navigate in the dark.
You can simply arrange a taxi with your accommodation or book through Cancun Airport Transfer 2hrs, $70-$100, there’s also taxi’s outside Cancun airport.
HOW TO GET AROUND TULUM
Once you’re in Tulum you can cycle around the main points and if you’re staying in the Hotel Zone, walking along the beach is an option!
Some luxury hotels in Tulum provide bikes, but if not, you can easily rent one. In the evening it’s best to hire a taxi or private driver. The roads are incredibly dark and there’s no pavement or cycle lane along the main beach road.

Low season is the best time to visit Tulum, on either side of the rainy/hurricane season, which runs Jun-Oct. If you plan a trip to Tulum in November, February or March, you’ll benefit from lower prices, fewer crowds, great weather and excellent sand quality.
Is 3 days enough in Tulum?
In three days you can certainly see the Tulum ruins, go for a romantic dinner, stay in a boutique hotel and have two full beach days to relax.
If you’re travelling from North America it’s more doable and you can add a visit to Balacar Blue Lagoon afterwards. If you’re arriving from Europe you’ll want a minimum of 7 days in Tulum.
Is Tulum nicer than Cancun for couples?
Tulum and Cancun offer totally different vibes. Cancun is flashy, with large white 5 star resorts on the beach and lively, catering for vibrant stays. Tulum is known for bohemian luxury with smaller boutique hotels and a focus on wellness and nature. It’s a more romantic environment for couples.
