Tulum is an all-year destination, however, the wettest months are June, September and October and the best months are November then mid-February until March. I visited in early February and found that the temperature was perfect and it wasn’t over-crowded at all.

Cash is best for smaller local cafés and eateries around Tulum Pueblo, taxis, buses and entrance fees and also for hotel bills – if you pay on your card you will be subject to all kinds of extra fees including unfavourable hotel exchange rates!
