Hotel Supetar is one of the most beautiful places to stay in Cavtat and even outshines some of the top hotels in Dubrovnik. It offers guests a five-star boutique experience with a romantic style, aesthetically pleasing interiors, a pool and an inviting terrace overlooking the water!
My favourite thing about this luxury hotel in Cavtat is the ambience, location and attractive outdoors Mediterranean-style garden right on the prom with marina views – I really enjoyed spending time here during my two-night stay and would definitely return!
This is the perfect romantic and stylish getaway, ideal for couples or boutique lovers, all the rooms here are beautifully decorated, and the superior room is heavenly, but next time I would splurge on the residence superior room for the views!

HOTEL CROATIA
- Best for: Luxury resort stays!
- Location: Beachfront, sea views
- Features: Two pools, two beaches, 7 restaurants, wellness centre
Hotel Croatia is one of the best known 5 star hotels in Cavtat with an iconic clifftop setting and panoramic views, it’s ideal for longer stays to take advantage of the enviable position and top-notch amenities!
Situated in a private bay this seaside resort offers completely refurbished sea-facing rooms, a lovely spa and two good-sized pools with scenic views, and there are several restaurants to choose from if you don’t feel like leaving!
When I visited in September, it felt quiet and spacious, and I particularly loved the outdoor terrace, which provided a lovely shaded spot to relax for an hour or so with a coffee – there’s also easy trails to follow, leading you back to the village and beaches!
This larger style resort makes a great base for stays just outside of Dubrovnik, and you are just a short walk to Cavtat village with access to boat excursions for exploring the islands and peninsula!

BOUTIQUE HOTEL VILLA PATTIERA

Another boutique hotel in Cavtat, Villa Pattiera is a centuries-old mansion that has an intimate and cool antique vibe, down to the twelve individually decorated rooms full of tradition and character!
Romantic Villa Pattiera is a friendly family-run 4-star boutique offering a more personalised service and complimentary breakfast on the terrace for your central stay in the heart of Cavtat.
I think this smaller boutique is the ideal base for couples and short stopovers – it works brilliantly if exploring is your main focus!

Hotel Cavtat is a modern hotel on the edge of the coastline with marina views, an excellent location for quiet escapes while being just moments from all the main attractions in the area.
The pool and sumptuous rooftop terrace are the standout features of this hotel; they look over the whole bay, as do some of the sea-view rooms – a deluxe or premium sea view with balcony is definitely worth the upgrade!
Hotel Cavtat makes a good choice if you’re after a clean, comfortable and quiet stay while visiting Cavtat with the added bonus of stunning views and a quality pool area to relax.

VILLA ANMARI APARTMENTS

A stylish and modern apartment complex on a hill overlooking Cavtat Bay, offering a fantastic rooftop terrace with loungers and an infinity pool with incredible Adriatic views!
There are a total of four private apartments with balconies at Villa AnMari to choose from, including a very spacious penthouse. They each come with the same minimalist style with high-end amenities such as rain showers, full kitchens and dining areas as well as smart TV’s and air-con.
Villa AnMari is the perfect choice for independent stays, there are lots of things to do in Cavtat and there’s parking if you need it. I think this is a really lovely place to stay, especially for longer stays, I wouldn’t hesitate!
VILLA FAGGIONI (B&B)

Villa Faggioni offers a range of nicely decorated rooms with original stone features and mod-cons right on the harbour front, it is super central and close to the best restaurants in Cavtat!

Is Cavtat a good place to stay?
Yes absolutely! Cavtat is an excellent place to stay if you want to be close to Dubrovnik but prefer a quieter, more relaxed coastal setting with seafront boutique hotels, restaurants and Riviera all within walking distance from whichever hotel you choose!

How To Get To Cavtat
Hop on the boat from Dubrovnik Old Town, which is the most scenic option, there’s regular schedules in summer taking around 35 minutes along the coast. There are also local buses connecting Cavtat with Dubrovnik, and it’s just a short drive from Dubrovnik Airport, making it an ideal first or last stop on your trip!
Best Time To Stay In Cavtat
Cavtat is best explored from May to June or September, avoiding the peak season (July and August) and crowds (although Cavtat is in general, a calm and quiet spot). There’s more things to do in Cavtat in the warmer months, it’s a great time to visit!
How Long To Stay In Cavtat
2-4 nights is ideal, lots of people visit Cavtat on a day trip from Dubrovnik – and although lovely, a stay here really allows you to relax and enjoy the waterfront and beaches, while still leaving room for exploration. Cavtat also makes a great alternative base for visiting Dubrovnik Old Town!
Cavtat Is Compact & Walkable
Cavtat is compact and very walkable, with many pedestrianised areas, including the old town, making it a hassle-free and convenient place to stay. You can easily see the highlights and explore the coast at a leisurely pace!
